Welcome to another episode of Bigfoot Campfire Stories
Sometimes an encounter with Bigfoot is amazing and yet other times it will scare people nearly to death. This story is one of the latter and frankly gives me the creeps. Marty Steve and Jerry wanted to
go camping for a week near Yosemite National Park. Back parking and hiking the trails seemed like a fun adventure for the summer but things went a bit off track. I heard the story for the first time about 5 years after it happened. Now I'll share it with you.

Being middle class kids from North of Las Vegas Marty, Steve and I decided our summer between high school and college we would drive over to Yosemite National Park and camp and hike for 2 weeks before we had to pack and ship off to college. See we had all been together since we were 8. I moved into the neighborhood and met Marty and Steve the first day I went to class. We we all TMNT fans so it was destiny that we would be friends. Anyhow we all lived on the same street even I mean I can't remember a time when one of these two nuts hadn't been by my side for nearly everything worth remembering in my life but now we were all going to different schools. Kind of sucks growing up but that is what happens. So this would be the last epic trip we would be on for some time. None of us had a car worth a crap but Steve's Dad had gone to California for the summer and mistakenly left his 4x4 Chevy Blazer keys on the rack so that problem was now solved. Welcome back for another Bigfoot Campfire Story. I met a group of campers while on a retreat in WV. As usual I tend to get people alone and ask them if they have ever seen a Bigfoot. One of the older fellas in the group by the name of Grady opened up and told me the most incredible story I had heard so far. This is that story.

I guess most times you get asked a question like have you ever seen a Bigfoot I may have just skipped telling this story but I'll be as honest as I can be. Frank Marty and I were setting up a trip to go Spelunking, that's cave diving, to you regular folks outside of Minnehaha Springs close to the Virginia line. The hills there are known for cave systems that go on for dozens if not hundreds of miles.

Welcome back for another Bigfoot Campfire Story. Jack and George were Bigfoot investigators in Washington State near the Canadian border. They received an encounter report from a farmer just a couple of hours away form their town so they loaded up their equipment and headed out to meet the farmer. This is their story...

George and I had taken a call on our Bigfoot hotline (that's what we call the internet phone at Georges mommas house, she never used it) from a farmer name Willie B. He was fishing in Silver Lake near his home town and had watched a Bigfoot cross in front of his car as he was leaving the Silver Lake Park just before dusk. Willie invited us up to the area and agreed to meet us at the location so I collected George and away we went for another adventure.

Welcome to another Bigfoot Campfire Story. As a young heathen I was exposed to both my Irish and my Native backgrounds. I spent many summers on the Cherokee Reservation with family members from nearly the time I can remember. Even back in the early 70's many tribal ways were still followed and the oral history was passed on at almost every meal. We were sitting around a campfire much like this one when my great great uncle Standing Deer told this great story.

Many moons ago before the white man came, our dealings with Hairy Man were much different than they are now. My grandfathers grandfather said that on ceremony nights the hairy man would come in sometimes as many as a dozen and sit on the very edges of the fire light and watch the tribe. As the warriors would dance and drum as they circled the fire the Hairy Man would grunt and drum on the ground to the beat as almost chanting. (click the video for more)

The wild man (also wildman, or "wildman of the woods", archaically woodwose or wodewose) is a mythical figure that appears in the artwork and literature of medieval Europe, comparable to the satyr or faun type in classical mythology and to Silvanus, the Roman god of the woodlands.

The defining characteristic of the figure is its "wildness"; from the 12th century they were consistently depicted as being covered with hair. Images of wild men appear in the carved and painted roof bosses where intersectingogee vaults meet in the Canterbury Cathedral, in positions where one is also likely to encounter the vegetal Green Man. The image of the wild man survived to appear as supporter for heraldic coats-of-arms, especially in Germany, well into the 16th century. Renaissance engravers in Germany and Italy were particularly fond of wild men, wild women, and wild families, with examples from Martin Schongauer (died 1491) and Albrecht Dürer(1471–1528) among others.
