Proving They Are Human Relatives, Chimps Hunt Species Toward Extinction

"They have been so effective as predators that they really have knocked down the local population," says David Watts of Yale University, who has spent years studying one population of chimpanzees.
This group seems to be moving onto other prey and unable to stop themselves from overhunting. A drive for food that echoes some of our most sinister aspects, as humans.
Between 1975 and 2007, the local numbers of red colobus monkeys has fallen by 89%. At one point in the 90's, the chimps were killing off half the colobus population each year.
The most grim anthropomorphic view of the chimpanzee, to date.
